Habitum Privacy Policy

1.The short version

Habitum has no account, no login, and no server of ours behind it. We do not run analytics, we do not embed advertising or tracking SDKs, and we never sell or rent anything about you to anybody.

Everything you enter lives on your device. If you turn on iCloud sync, it also lives in your own private iCloud storage, which Apple holds under your Apple Account and which we cannot read. That is the whole architecture, and the rest of this page is the detail behind it.

2.What we collect

Nothing. Mishael Oblefias operates no servers for Habitum and receives no data from it. There is no analytics pipeline, no crash reporter of ours, no advertising identifier, and no third-party software development kit embedded in the app.

3.Where your data lives

Habitum stores what you log in a database on your device, using Apple's SwiftData. It is covered by your device passcode and by iOS Data Protection, which encrypts it while the device is locked.

4.iCloud sync

If you turn on sync, Habitum uses Apple's CloudKit to copy your data into the private database of your own iCloud account, so your iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch see the same thing.

A CloudKit private database belongs to you, not to us. Mishael Oblefias has no access to it, cannot query it, and cannot see how many records it holds. Apple's handling of that data is governed by Apple's own privacy policy and by the iCloud terms you agreed to with Apple.

Sync is optional. With it off, Habitum never makes a network connection of its own at all.

5.Apple Health

Habitum can read measurements from Apple Health — things like steps, workouts, body measurements, heart data, nutrition and sleep — so that habits you track by number fill themselves in instead of being typed twice. It can also write measurements you log by hand back to Health, so your other apps stay in step.

Health data is only ever read after you grant permission, category by category, in the Health app or in iOS Settings, and you can withdraw any of it at any time. Habitum reads only the categories tied to something you are actually tracking.

Health data read from HealthKit stays on your device and, if you have enabled sync, in your own private iCloud database. Specifically, and without exception:

• It is never used for advertising, marketing, or any similar service.
• It is never sold, rented, or traded to anyone, for any purpose.
• It is never shared with, or disclosed to, any third party, including us.
• It is never used for any purpose other than showing you your own progress inside the app.

6.Calendar and Reminders

If you allow it, Habitum reads your calendar events so the day's timeline shows what you already have on, and can mirror day-tasks into Apple Reminders so they appear alongside the rest of your list.

This happens entirely on your device through Apple's EventKit. Event titles and reminder contents are not copied to us and are not sent anywhere.

7.Notifications

Habitum schedules its reminders locally, and your own device delivers them. There is no push server, and the text of a notification is composed on the device from your own data.

If you enable iCloud sync, iOS may use silent push notifications to tell the app its store has changed. Those carry no content of yours and are handled by Apple.

8.Photos

Habitum asks only for permission to add to your photo library, and only so that a progress card you have chosen to share can be saved. It cannot read, browse, or otherwise see the photos already in your library.

9.Anything you choose to share

Habitum lets you share progress deliberately — an accountability partner, or an image you post somewhere. Sharing is always something you start, and always shows you what is being shared before it goes.

When you invite a partner, Habitum builds a limited snapshot of your progress and shares that through Apple's CloudKit sharing. The snapshot is deliberately narrower than your full record: whatever it does not include, a partner cannot see. Ending the share stops any further updates reaching them.

A share travels between your iCloud account and theirs. It does not pass through us.

10.Purchases

Paid features are sold through Apple's App Store using StoreKit. Apple handles the payment; we never see your card, your billing address, or your Apple Account details.

Habitum keeps a record on your own device of what you are entitled to, so it knows whether to unlock paid features. Apple provides us with anonymous, aggregate sales reporting — units sold by territory and the like — which cannot be traced back to an individual buyer.

11.Keeping and deleting your data

Because your data is yours and sits in your own storage, you control its lifetime entirely.

• Deleting a single record inside Habitum removes it immediately.
• Habitum includes a reset that erases everything it has stored.
• Deleting the app removes its on-device database with it.
• Data held in iCloud can be removed from Settings → your name → iCloud on any signed-in device.
• Ending a partner share stops further updates from reaching that person.

12.Your rights

Privacy laws such as the GDPR in Europe, the CCPA in California, and the Data Privacy Act of 2012 in the Philippines give you rights to access, correct, export and delete personal data that a company holds about you.

We hold none. There is no account to access and no profile to correct, so those rights are satisfied directly by the controls in the app: your data is already in your hands, Habitum can export it, and you can delete it at any moment without asking us.

If you have written to us and want that correspondence deleted, ask at privacy@vitum.app and we will delete it.

13.Children

Habitum is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them. Since the app collects nothing from anyone, there is nothing for us to hold or delete in any case.

14.Changes to this policy

If Habitum ever gains a feature that changes what happens to your data, this page is updated before that feature ships, and the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.

If you email us, we hold your message and address for as long as it takes to answer you, and we do not add you to anything.
